He has been a faculty member of the prestigious MAFAC (Mendelson Advanced Facial Anatomy Course) since 2016 and an editorial board member for the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal (SCI) since 2019.
Dr. Ryu is also a proud member of several esteemed professional organizations, including The Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (KSPRS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).

He has authored numerous papers and books and has been particularly dedicated to educating about the Deep Plane Facelift.
As a Senior Faculty member of MAFAC, he teaches safe and precise surgery through multiple cadaver dissections each year.
