Where should I start? I am almost 2 months post-surgery and I am so elated and over the moon with my results and no complications as of today. I consulted with plastic surgeons from all over the world, including South Korea, Taiwan, Canada, USA, Vietnam, and Thailand. In the end, I decided with Dr Angela Hernandez in Quezon City, the sweetest person in the world. Why did I choose Dr Hernandez? First of all, she was the only contact I dealt with from start to finish...no receptionists, no assistants, no coordinator, secretary etc...only messages through WhatsApp and Viber. She was so prompt to reply as well, I was just blown away. Dr. Hernandez spoke perfect English and knew exactly what I wanted to have done. Other clinics took a week to respond if not longer, or had their assistants answer but in broken English. I've never been to the Philippines and only had a short time frame to visit as I had to use my vacation days at work before the end of 2019, and she made this trip super memorable, not only with the after-surgery care but also recommending places to visit and giving me lots of tips! The nurses and the anaesthesia doctor was so awesome as well, I never felt any nervousness when I was put under and I've never been to the hospital for any broken bones or stitches. It was nice to have my surgery done in a clinic, a very nice and clean one, as hospitals tend to freak me out. I had cartilage rhinoplasty, alar base reduction, buccal fat removal and chin filler. The price I paid was well worth it, I saved almost 60% by not doing this back home and there were no lineups like I had back home i.e.) chest x-ray, blood work, getting prescription drugs etc. Another reason I chose Dr Hernandez over another famous plastic surgeon/clinic in Manila was that Dr. Hernandez looked so natural and not over-injected with fillers or Botulinum, like some other doctors which speak volumes, I don't want to look fake or unnatural. I've received so many compliments since I've healed visually (even though my nose will take a year to fully show results). I don't even look like my old self again, my self-confidence has skyrocketed and I would not hesitate to see Dr. Hernandez again, as I'm excited to see what she can do next. She also volunteers her spare time with Operation Smile to help those in need, and correct their cleft lip, very admirable. I definitely recommend the Philippines as a safe place to visit (nothing like the slums you see on TV), friendly locals, your money will go super far in terms of food/accommodation/shopping/Grab (Uber), modern and fun (even Denny's, Tim Horton's, etc...), and wearing a mask while recovering is no big deal as lots of people in Manila wear masks. There is also Grab eats and local grocery delivery if you can't step out after surgery. I spent 3 weeks in Manila, but I would say 2 weeks is sufficient enough for recovery and to go back to work.
Highly recommend! And also to check out their work on their Instagram page as it speaks volumes and will give you more before and after's.
