Professor, and Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery, Stanley Medical College & Hospital, Chennai after 32 years of government service. He graduated from Madurai Medical College in the year 1972 and got his Master of Surgery from the same University in the year 1977. After working in General Surgery for five years, he qualified as a Plastic Surgeon from Madras Medical College in the year 1984. Prof.Chandran has been a Medical teacher for both undergraduates as well as graduates from the year 1978. He has been training M.Ch Plastic Surgery students from the year 1984. He has also trained overseas students from Germany, Kenya and Ethiopia.
