After graduating from McGill Medical School in Montreal, in 1979, he embarked on specialty training in plastic surgery and obtained his specialist certification in 1986. During his residency in plastic surgery he also obtained a Master of Science degree for his research work in microvascular surgery. Throughout his career he has endeavored to be on the cutting edge of innovation and technology in his field. In 1989, he was the first to perform syringe liposculpture in the McGill system. Then, in 1995, he was the first in Montreal to perform endoscopic breast implant surgery through a tiny incision in the underarm. Most recently he has introduced the revolutionary laser assisted Smartlipo™ to the Montreal market. He is a member of numerous professional societies and holds an academic position as Clinical Lecturer at McGill, teaching medical students and plastic surgery residents. He also teaches his surgical techniques to other visiting plastic surgeons and has lectured both in Montreal and throughout the world as well as being frequently featured in the media. He specializes in all aspects of cosmetic surgery including the face, breasts and body sculpting. His goal as a plastic surgeon has always been simple and straight-forward: to deliver the best possible results with the smallest scars and the least amount of discomfort to the patient. Known for his perfectionism and unwavering attention to detail, he prides himself not only on his surgical skills, but also on the personalized, thorough postoperative care for each and every patient.
