He is now living in Australia where he practises cosmetic (aesthetic) surgery in Melbourne and Brisbane under general registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Dr Sugitha Seneviratne Biography: She is an Australian trained Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon. She completed her undergraduate qualifications at Monash University in 1993 and after ten years of Melbourne based post-graduate training, became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2003 and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery in 2015. In 1996, whilst training in surgery Sugitha became a Faculty Member in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Melbourne University and in 1997 was appointed a Junior Faculty Member in the Department of Anatomy at Stanford University in the United States of America. In 2001, she enrolled in a MD degree at Melbourne University examining the neurovascular anatomy of the arm and shoulder girdle. From this work, she has contributed a number of peer-reviewed scientific publications to the international literature.
