Reasons can range from correcting an imbalance in their features to produce more definition in the face or just to create a more youthful appearance. Whatever your reasons, Dr. Doyle uses a variety of materials which will enhance your cheekbones. The size and shape of your implants are customised to match the outcome you want with the results being subtle but very effective.

Facial implants are placed through inconspicuous incisions typically eyelid. Placements of the implants in these areas allow the scars to remain undetectable and you can expect healing to take an average of 2 weeks.

Eyelids when we age can appear droopy, puffy and cause excess skin to sag over lashes making you appear tired, older and effect visual field. The use of cosmetic eyelid surgery, also called blepharoplasty, can help solve these issues by restoring the skin around the eyes to create a natural, youthful appearance that drastically reduce these visible signs of aging. Improvements to vision often occurs by minimising the sagging lids. In severe cases of loose upper eyelid skin, an item number may be used to attract a medicare and health insurance rebate.

Blepharoplasty procedure is performed with external incisions made along natural skin lines of the eyelid. All excess fat, muscle, and skin are then trimmed away from the eyelid and sutured closed to take it's new shape. This procedure is often performed as a day procedure in an accredited hospital under anaesthesia and usually takes approximately 1 hour. This procedure is considered permanent in many cases but will not prevent natural effects of the aging process in the future.

The popularity of liposuction (lipoplasty) is unmistakable as it removes unwanted fat from specific areas of the body which are prone to storing pockets of fat. At Gold Coast Plastic Surgery there have been some incredible results through liposuction in improving the contours of the body, including areas such as the neck, upper arms, abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, and calves.

Whilst liposuction should never be treated as an alternative to a healthy weight-loss plan or exercise regime, it can deliver some dramatic results. Liposuction is best used to contour problem areas creating a more sculpted body.  It is not a weight loss procedure.

In traditional liposuction, a small tube (cannula) is used to mechanically break down fat as it is suctioned from the body. Small incisions are made in the body’s natural creases, where they can stay hidden. Dissolvable sutures are primarily used, and scarring is minimal.

Liposuction is performed as a day surgery procedure under general anaesthetic.  A compression garment is often worn for 6 weeks following surgery and most people are back to normal activity in a week.

Ear pinning (or Otoplasty) is a surgical procedure that changes the size and shape of the ears often placing them closer to the head. Commonly performed between the ages of five and 14, it can also be performed on adults of any age. A highly effective procedure, Otoplasty can improve both appearance and self-esteem.

Otoplasty begins with an incision made behind the ear. The cartilage is re-shaped and then sutured or "pinned back" into place. When the position and desired shape has been achieved, the ears are dressed and left to heal. Otoplasty takes one to two hours to complete with most normal activities able to be resumed within two weeks.
