The Aesthetic Surgery Centre specialises in eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty which is the medical term for this procedure. Fatty pads are removed from the lower eyelid either by an internal laser procedure, or an external excision if there is too much skin. Laser resurfacing is sometimes carried out to smooth and tighten the skin after internal laser.  Fat and excess skin is removed from the upper lids via excision.

Dr Leo Kim is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon, a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He holds privileges as an admitting surgeon at The Skin Hospital (Darlinghurst and Westmead) and Castlecrag Private Hospital in the North Shore. Special interests include skin cancer reconstruction, eyelid surgery (both Eyelift and Asian eyelid surgery) and aesthetic plastic surgery. International experiences include Preceptorship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Institute of Reconstructive Surgery in New York, exchange scholar to Cornell University at the New York Presbyterian Hospital and the Asan Medical Centre in Seoul, South Korea. He has completed Masters of Surgery in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Sydney with the John Brooke Moore Surgery scholarship and was awarded the John Lowenthal Society Medal for his research in Paediatric Burns Surgery. He is a conjoint lecturer in University of New South Wales. He has published widely and presents regularly at trainee teaching sessions, GP evenings and conferences.

Dr Sim Choroomi BSc (Med) MBBS (Hon 1 UNSW) FRACS MAAFPRS ENT and Facial Plastic Surgeon. Lecturer UNSW - Faculty of Medicine. Dr Choroomi is a dual qualified, FRACS certified, Australian trained ENT surgeon and USA trained Facial Plastic Surgeon. He has specialty interest in cosmetic and revision rhinoplasty as well as functional nasal and sinus surgery.  Dr Choroomi completed accredited fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the coveted Lasky Clinic in Beverly Hills, California, USA. In this highly sought after position, he was trained to master advanced surgical skills and injectable techniques, emphasizing attention to detail and natural results, whilst maintaining quality and discreet patient care.  Dr. Choroomi’s contribution to medicine reaches beyond his medical practice, as a researcher, author and educator. Through ongoing academic research he continues to advance the field of rhinology and facial plastic surgery, authoring numerous textbook chapters and articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.
