Mr Rob Scott - Consultant at Farnborough Chiropractic Clinic

Mr Rob Scott

Job Title:
  Consultant
Biography:
Rob graduated from AECC in 1996 and started the clinic in 1997. Throughout the years he has developed and learnt a range of adjunctive treatments including extremities (arms, elbows, wrists, knees and feet), assessing gait mechanics, soft tissue therapies and has gained a post graduate diploma in Sports Chiropractic (ICSSD) which allows him to treat elite athletes. He has worked at a number of British Masters Athletics events including the European Championships in Poznan in 2006, the World and European Tug of War Championships and has recently worked at the 2012 London Olympics at the Polyclinic in the Olympic Rowing Village, which he describes as a great honour and a fantastic experience. He is a keen advocate of chiropractic and believes that everyone regardless of age can benefit from having a properly working skeleton. He has treated babies and 90 year olds successfully and believes that the human body must be looked after if it is to survive the ordeals of daily life without injury. Rob has been developing a theory about chiropractic which allows many injuries, including muscle pulls and sprains to be treated by looking at the spine, or other joints and putting this into practice by helping athletes to avoid these injuries completely. This approach seeks to explain why we end up having diagnosable problems and offers help to prevent them happening at all by merely keeping the spine in good health. It is not just about the spine however and all joints; fingers, wrists and feet can all be assessed and restored to work better. Even arthritic hips and knees can benefit from treatment.
Mr Tom Palmer - Aesthetic Medicine Physician at Farnborough Chiropractic Clinic

Mr Tom Palmer

Job Title:
  Aesthetic Medicine Physician
Biography:
Tom first became aware of chiropractic in his early teens when being treated by a chiropractor for a sporting injury. He was fascinated by the style of treatment and the simplicity, yet effectiveness of the approach. However the real spark was when his father gained huge relief and was able to return to work after his treatment for a lower back injury and from then on he knew this was the career he wanted to pursue. Tom spent four very enjoyable years studying to become a Master of Chiropractic at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in sunny Bournemouth, the final year of which was spent at the on site clinic treating patients and gaining hands on experience. It was during this time Tom spent a season with a local semi-professional football team working with the players both behind in scenes in preparation for matches and also pitch side on match days. Having worked with patients of all ages Tom thinks everybody can benefit from chiropractic care and has undertaken further study since graduating including dry needling and a neck master class to broaden his scope of practice.
