Dr KW Foo
Biography:
The Activator Method was instituted in 1967 by Dr. Arlan Fuhr. He co-invented this system as well as the instrument used to perform the Chiropractic treatment During a typical appointment, the chiropractic doctor uses a variety of tests to determine which areas of the body need adjustment. By lying face down on a table, the patient's feet are extended over the edge to assist the doctor with leg alignment. The patient is then instructed to move his/her arms and head into various positions. With each change in body posture, the alignment of the legs may shift and will show the doctor which bones are misaligned. Once the doctor clarifies where the adjustment needs to be made, he/she will use a hand-held tool called the Activator® Adjusting Instrument. It is a small, plunger-like device that can be positioned directly against a vertebra or bone. By simply pressing down on the spring loaded tool, a pinpoint correction is made.
