After graduation in 1990, Dr Kelvin Goh did postings in Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine and General Surgery.
In 1994, he underwent post graduate training in Dermatology at the world renown St Johns Institute of Dermatology, St Thomass Hospital, London, United Kingdom. His clinical mentor was Professor Malcolm W Greaves, Dean and Head of St Johns. Professor Greaves is an authority on Urticaria / Itchy skin and has published many papers in this particular area.
At the Institute of Dermatology, he was also instructed by Dr Johnathan Barker, Dr Catherine Smith, Dr Portia Goldsmith and others.
During his time at St John Institute of Dermatology, Dr Goh wrote a thesis entitled "Pathogenesis and Treatment of Acne". His thesis advisor was Professor William Cunliffe, Consultant Dermatologist, Leeds General Infirmary. In his acne clinic in Leeds, Professor Cunliffe taught Dr Goh how to grade acne and the treatment of severe acne.
Dr Goh was awarded the diploma in Genito-Urinary Medicine conducted by the Society of Apothecaries, London. This exam is taken by doctors specializing in sexually transmitted diseases.
Two years later, Dr Goh was conferred the Master of Science degree in Clinical Dermtology by the University of London, United Kingdom.
Since then, Dr Kelvin Goh has been in private practice with Dr Goh Pui Kiat. Together, they see large numbers of dermatology patients with pimples, pigmentation, hair loss and eczema etc.
In 2005, he was admitted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr Goh is licensed to practice Medicine in Singapore (by the Singapore Medical Council) and in the United Kingdom (by the General Medical Council).
Dr Kelvin Goh can speak English, Mandarin and some Malay words.
