Caress Electrolysis Ltd

As far back as I remember I have been embarrassed by my excessive body hair. When I reached puberty I was even more self conscience as the hair growth increased on my face and my body. I tried many types of temporary methods to no satisfaction. One day I met an electrologist, and after discussing electrolysis with her I decided to give electrolysis a try. I quickly realized that it was the only solution for me. Not only did I rid myself of unwanted hair, but I soon realized an increase in my self confidence as the treatments progressed. It was an easy decision to continue with electrolysis, and have one area of my body cleared after another. I was so pleased by the results that I now look forward to the opportunity of helping others with similar concerns. I graduated from The Kree Institute of Electrolysis in New York City in 1976. When returning to Ottawa I was employed as an electrologist for a short time, but couldn’t continue to work under the poor conditions and antiquated equipment I was expected to work with. I decided to open my own electrolysis clinic where I had the liberty to operate in a professional manner, and offering state of the art technology. I opened Kathryn’s Electrolysis Ltd. and over several years expanded to the largest electrolysis studio in Ottawa. In 2001 I sold Kathryn’s and moved to Kingston, ON where I established Caress Electrolysis. When I returned to my hometown of Ottawa in 2006, I settled in Barrhaven and reopened Caress. I am pleased to say that only a couple of years later, Caress is the leading electrolysis clinic in Ottawa. I continually update my education to stay fresh and current with new technology. Caress is one of the few clinics in Ottawa that offers the use of Zeiss microscopes to increase the precision of our insertions, providing more gentle treatments and faster results. In 1988 I began offering facial spider vein treatments to my services after I attended instruction in procedures to treat dilated blood vessels. I graduated as a laser technician from LCI and continued my laser training at Laser Medcare. Although I worked for a few years part time as a laser technician as well as continuing to operate my electrolysis business, I no longer provide laser hair removal services through Caress given the superior results of electrolysis. I now focus all my energies on electrolysis, which is still the only permanent method of hair removal. I am so delighted to have found such a rewarding career; one in which I am so passionate. Everyday I look forward to assisting others restore their beauty and helping to increase their self-confidence. I welcome the opportunity to do the same for you!

I graduated from The Ottawa School of Electrolysis in 1986. After graduation I joined Kathryn and her staff at Kathryn’s Electrolysis Ltd., which Kathryn Hay owned and operated at the time. Later I branched out on my own and started Jane’s Electrolysis Salon in the west end of Ottawa and then later moved my business to the Kanata area. Kathryn’s Electrolysis was sold when Kathryn moved to Kingston upon her return to Ottawa in 2006 she opened Caress Electrolysis. I was pleased to resume my professional relationship with Kathryn and became the second electrologist at Caress. I feel honoured to be able to work as an electrologist and I believe that my clients concerns are my passion. I am a friendly, caring person who is dedicated to helping people eliminate their unwanted hair problems and enhance their beauty and self confidence. I am proud to be part of the professional team at Caress Electrolysis; which consists of a select group of electrologist committed to the betterment of each and every client. I am also qualified in the treatment of facial spider veins, which is a nuisance to many fair skinned women and men.

I first met Kathryn in 1985, when I booked a consultation and began electrolysis treatments at her clinic, Kathryn’s Electrolysis located in Ottawa South. During one of my treatments, Kathryn informed me I had qualities that are necessary to be a good electrologist and said I would be able to connect to clients since I have gone through the same embarrassment of unwanted hair and the procedure of electrolysis. After I graduated from the Ottawa School of Electrolysis, I joined Kathryn’s staff of certified electrologists. I furthered my education in 1998 when I completed a laser hair removal course at Laser Medcare and also the techniques of how to treat facial spider veins. I then had the opportunity of opening and operating my own electrolysis business. In 2000 I rejoined Kathryn, when she expanded and opened the Glow Spa. Kathryn then sold the business and moved to Kingston and I remained as an electrologist, with Glow. I can relate to many clients coming in for the first time questioning whether electrolysis really is permanent. I reassure them that choosing electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal. I enjoy the personal interaction with my clients and I love helping them feel more confident and comfortable with their appearance. I also notice an improvement in their overall self esteem. I am a conscientious and friendly person, and have great intuition of clients needs. I am passionate about electrolysis and feel very fortunate to have found such a satisfying career that I enjoy so much. Client’s needs are my number one priority. Joining Kathryn’s team of professional electrologists at Caress Electrolysis has been a great honour. With over 20 years of experience I look forward to treating clients with sincerity and expertise as a certified electrologist.

I graduated from the electrolysis program at Gina's School of Aesthetics and Electrolysis in 2002. I feel fortunate that Kathryn provided me the opportunity to work at Caress with such a great team of devoted electrologists. It’s a pleasure to work with a Zeiss microscope and the state of the art equipment in a professional yet relaxing ambiance. I dedicated my aesthetic career to electrolysis because of the remarkable benefits it has compared to other forms of hair removal just can't match. As a satisfied electrolysis client myself, I can relate to any concerns that you may have. The rewards are extraordinary, no more waxing or shaving. I graduated from the Electrology Institute of New England at Tewksbury, Massachusetts in 1999. My training included thermolysis, electrolysis and blend systems of epilation.

After graduation, I opened my own spa in Damascus, Syria, where I was born and raised. I immigrated to Canada in 2013. 

Electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal; far superior to laser hair removal treatments.

I took my electrolysis course at Gregory System of Ottawa in 1991. After graduating I continued working at Gregory System for ten years, until I took maternity leave.

After my one year absence I met Kathryn and resumed my career working for her at Glow Spa. I have been working in the field ever since.

I am a gentle, caring person and love helping people to regain their self-confidence. I find electrolysis such a rewarding and satisfying career, that I have been doing it for over two decades.

I am happily married, an active soccer mom with two wonderful boys. I love reading, movies, cooking and baking. I am looking forward to meeting and serving you all at Caress.
