Dr. Rita Rakus

I have been having my filler, Muscle inhibitors and profhilo treatments with Dr Rakus for over 10 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. She is very subtle and her wealth of experience always comes to play. You won’t be disappointed.

What I love about Ultracel is the fact that it makes your own body do all the work. I loved watching my face look younger as the weeks and months passed, and I loved not having to worry about whether it could go wrong, or worry about how many times I could repeat the procedure in the future. Knowing that my own collagen is what’s making me look younger and better is the best feeling. I love this treatment!

A friend of mine got Profilho done by her eyelash extension technician, and her face was black and blue with bruises for a week afterwards. So I was very wary of the treatment – but it turned out I didn’t need to be. I had two sessions of Profhilo and neither left so much as a red mark, let alone a bruise. What I’ve learned is that it all comes down to the skill of the person administering the injections; it takes a really specialist technique to prevent bruising, and the staff at Dr Rakus’ clinic are serious experts. I am thrilled with the results.

Going to Dr Rakus’ clinic is always a total pleasure. They were brilliant during Covid, practising the most meticulously careful hygiene measures, and I never once worried about exposing myself to risk by visiting the clinic. Now that life is getting back to being busy and normal, the clinic is even more of a sanctuary than ever. I had two sessions of Ultracel earlier this year, and with every passing week, my skin has looked better and better.

During Covid I got stranded abroad in the tropics for six months. I’d only planned on being in the sun for a week, so hadn’t packed lots of sun screen – and when I got stuck in a remote village where they didn’t sell high SPF sun cream, like a fool I decided to just not bother.

Big, big mistake. When I got back to the UK I thought I’d done irreversible damage to my face – but I booked myself in for three sessions of Advatx at Dr Rakus’ clinic, and I cannot believe what a difference they’ve made.

They reversed the pigment discoloration, shrunk the enlarged pores, and got rid of the lines and wrinkles caused by sunburn.

I know two friends who got Ultracel very cheaply via Groupon, and both of them complained that it was a total waste of money because they didn’t even get poor results; they got literally no results at all. What I’ve discovered since going to Dr Rakus for the treatment is that its success depends almost entirely on the quality of the machine used. Cheaper clinics use the cheapest machines, and - surprise surprise – deliver the worst (aka non-existent) results.

If I had to choose just one treatment to keep having, out of all the ones I’ve ever tried, it would definitely be Profilho. It made my skin look like I’d just been holiday, had had the best sleep of my life, and fallen in love – all in one. The effect is really natural but made my face look radically improved. I had it done over six months ago, and it still hasn’t worn off; when it does I will be going back for more, for sure.

I never used to think about enlarged pores, or even really know what they were – until I turned 50, when my own pores overnight got noticeably bigger – to the point where they became practically the only feature of my face I could see. It was awful. Trying to cover them up with foundation only accentuated them, so make- up couldn’t make me look better; quite the opposite, it made my skin look even worse. I tried using toners and moisturisers that promised to reduce my pores, but they made no difference at all. So thank the lord – and Dr Rakus - for Advatx. I underwent three monthly sessions, which were completely painless, and by the end of these my pores had shrunk so much that I’ve gone back to never even noticing them.

I have just had the ultracel Q+ Treatment with Dr Rakus and I think it is absolutely brilliant. I must commend Dr Rita she is so gentle and kind in her approach. She ensures she the treatment is tailor made to suit your needs. Great team as well!

I had this treatment to reduce the vertical ‘bar code’ lines above my mouth. Three sessions have more or less gotten rid of the lines completely – and my mouth now looks the same age as the rest of my skin. Which is amazing! But what I wasn’t expecting is for the treatment to massively improve not just those lines above my mouth, but my whole face. My skin is smoother and fresher, and the whole process was completely painless.

I don’t like to think how much time and money I’ve wasted on expensive face creams containing hyaluronic acid. Even the very best of them didn’t come close to achieving the miracle results I’ve got from Profhilo. Nothing I rub on my skin can compete with Profilho! It has filled out all my fine lines and made my skin look plump and dewy. It is worth every penny.
