I saw Dr. Munoz Paris in early December when I was in Istanbul for a week. I am writing this review about 2 months later. I'd written to her that I was thinking about threads or fillers, with my main areas of concern being neck/jawline and hollowing temples.
At our consultation, she recommended a kind of skin-boosting treatment called Innea Aqua that is supposed to hydrate and lift -- she said kind of like Profhilo. She said because my skin was dry and not in great shape that doing fillers and threads wouldn't be helpful until my skin was in better shape.
The Innea Aqua was $200 a box and needed one for face and one for neck, and needed two treatments to activate. I was only in town for a week so had not planned on two trips and it was maxing out my budget of $800, but she seemed quite convinced that it would also help with my concerns about my jaw, providing a lift, so I said okay. I decided to go over budget by $150 or $200 more for a syringe of filler split between my temples. I'd heard that temples take more than one syringe, but she thought it would be enough.
After the treatment I had time to research Innea Aqua. The purchase price for the product online was under $100 (or 100 euros since it isn't yet sold in the U.S.) and it said that the second treatment should be spaced out by about 3 weeks, so I had some doubts, but wanted to keep my second appointment. I also saw that the temple filler hadn't been enough, so I texted that for the next appointment I'd rather do that.
When I arrived, she said that I really should do the second Innea Aqua treatment for it to work (it's supposed to build over time), and that my temples were fine. I reluctantly agreed and decided to go over budget a little more ($100 or $150) and do under my eyes, as we both agreed this was an area that would benefit. As she was working, she looked more, and said, yes, you could do more temple filler, and she threw that in for free which was nice.
In the end I spent $1100 and got the following services:
-Temple filler -- 5 stars, my first time doing this and I'm happy.
-Under - eye filler -- 2.5 stars. the shape of the area is okay, but the area has very white stripes underneath what seems like a bruised area -- which is smaller but darker than before, or maybe the same as before, but looks darker next to the white area? From what I've read online (take with a grain of salt) the filler might be too close to the surface or a bit overfilled. I did under eye filler once in the past with a different practitioner, did not have this issue. I actually didn't have to use concealer after. This time around I definitely have to use concealer still! What I read said that the solution was to go back to the doctor and have them dissolve the filler. Dr. Munos-Paris seemed nice so if I were in Turkey, she'd probably offer to do that, but of course, I'm not there,
Everything is more expensive here, so I'm just living with it.
-Innea Aqua - 4 stars?? my skin looks MAYBE better. It's subtle, and the improvement apparently happens over time so it's hard to tell. I'm giving it four stars -- but whether that's because it worked or I just want for it to have worked is uncertain.
