Dr Marco Lanckneus
Biography:
Graduated as a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Ghent with distinction in 1981. He specialized as a surgeon in 1987, with foreign internships at service Cardiopulmonary Surgery, OLVG, Amsterdam (1985-1986) and was a fellow at Prof. Dr. Andrew. Nicolaides in Irvine Laboratory for Cardiovascular Investigation and Research, Academic Surgical Unit, St. Mary's Hospital Medical School, London (1986). Later he attended two years of additional subspecialitatie in vascular and endovascular surgery in France (CHU Saint-Philibert, Lille France, Prof. Dr. P. Puppinck) and the Netherlands (Academic Hospital, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Prof. Dr. H. van Urk). Appointed in 1988 assistant professor at the faculty of Medicine at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
