Dr. Quebbemann was invited to participate in the FDA trials for the Lap-Band® procedure in America, making him one of the first surgeons in America to perform gastric banding. Due to the high quality of his surgical program, his track record of safety and his acknowledged expertise in both the laparoscopic adjustable gastric band and the laparoscopic gastric bypass, Dr. Quebbemann has been quoted extensively in the media including USA Today and People magazine and has appeared on 48 Hours, The Early Show and other television news programs. Dr. Quebbemann is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a long standing member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery and a member of the North American Society for the study of Obesity (NAASO).

Dr. Braverman attended college at the University of Illinois, and then earned both his master’s degree in physiology and his medical doctorate from The Chicago Medical School. During his surgery training, he was a member of the Organ Transplant Team at Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s organ transplant program and was a post doctorate research fellow in organ transplantation at Northwestern. His surgical training includes a dedicated full year of fellowship training in laparoscopy and bariatric surgery.

After relocating to Orange County, and joining the Saddleback Medical Group, she developed a comprehensive weight loss program, The N.E.W. Program, with Dr. Brian Quebbemann. The goal of The N.E.W. Program is to incorporate all legitimate and proven strategies available for weight loss and long-term weight control into a single comprehensive weight control program. Dr. Siegfried took time off for maternity leave and now has returned to The N.E.W. Program as medical director. She brings the added dimension of expertise in non-surgical weight control.
