I contacted Aesthetic Travel for prices on a Gastric Sleeve. The price quoted online is the price it cost, no hidden extras. I arrived in the early hours of the morning, was picked up and driven to the hospital. Where the driver liaised with the hospital staff and I was brought straight to a beautiful private room with en-suite in the fantastic Yasam Hastanesi Life Hospital. The staff there were brilliant, even with the language barrier they made me feel taken care of. My interpreter, provided by Aesthetic Travel was with me for the whole time while I underwent various tests with different departments. Literally wheeled from room to room for these, no waiting and some of these doctors like the Anesthetist and Ultrasound technician had very good English. I met my wonderful surgeon Dr Mesut Caynak who was so lovely and caring.
I went for my operation that afternoon and had my interpreter with me until I was put out.
I was looked after extremely well by all the staff. Teoman, the director of Aesthetic Travel popped in every day I was in the hospital and I had my interpreter for the three days while in hospital. I had very little pain as I had all medications on the spot as soon as I felt any discomfort.
The hospital was spotlessly clean, modern and fully equipped with everything the staff required to take good care of patients.
I would say to anyone thinking of this or any other procedure, go for it! This was the best experience of an operation I have had.
I also included four on one dental implants which Aesthetic Travel organised through a dentist. I was discharged from the hospital on Sunday and had my dental operation on Monday. Teo was there on the first day and arranged for me to be driven to each, every appointment and back to my hotel. I didn't need an interpreter as the dentist had great English. Teo also arranged my hotel for the duration of my stay. The only downside was I didn't realise the hotel was B & B only and with a strict diet after the gastric sleeve, it was difficult to find what I needed and cater to that diet as there were no facilities in the hotel room.
I was absolutely delighted with the level and standard of care I received through Aesthetic Travel while in hospital. The hotel was beautifully decorated with lovely staff but very basic in that while only a B & B there wasn't even a kettle in the room. However, access to one was given to me 24 hours a day, I just had to go down to the lobby.
Cash payment needed to be upfront so be aware of this and have it with you.
