The space is very clean, the woman who looked after me is nice and professional

I knew someone who’d been to Auralia to remove a tattoo and I chose this clinic on their recommendation. The treatment isn’t cheap, but these types of procedures seldom are. I’m not finished with the removal yet; there are still more sessions ahead.

It’s a great clinic. The space is very clean, the woman who looked after me is nice and professional. Michelle explained everything at the first treatment. She’s so lovely and I’ll keep coming back because of her.

Bariatric Surgery Consultation

If you are wishing to lose weight but you are unsure about what procedure may be best for you then our bariatric surgery consultation may be the best option for you. This consultation is completely free and there is absolutely no obligation to book your procedure with us. During the consultation we can discuss all available weight loss options and go over the costs of each of them along with explaining our 0% finance option. We will be more than happy to answer any questions you have and you will be sent home with our information packs to read over before making your decision on whether to book your procedure or not.
 

Gastric Balloon

Our gastric balloon program has proven results in helping our patients to kick start their weight loss or to shift those last few stones off. Our program includes a 1 year after-care program during which you will have regular follow up consultations with our weight loss team whilst also being educated on how to maintain your weight loss long term. You will also receive full nutritional guides, full exercise guides, 24/7 emergency phone support and full surgical cover whilst on the program.
 

Gastric Band

Our gastric band program is the number one long term weight loss program available. All of our surgeries are carried out in our own state of the art facilities in Dublin by our world renowned consultant bariatric surgeons. Following your gastric band procedure you are enrolled onto our comprehensive after-care program. You will receive full nutritional guides which covers all aspects of the foods you need to be eating whilst being worded in a way that is very easy to understand. You will also receive full exercise guidelines which will be incorporated into your program after you have lost some weight and once it is safer for you to engage in physical activity. You will have unlimited appointments with our weight loss team, providing motivation and ensuring that we can be depended upon by you. You will also have all adjustments/fills of your gastric band included on your after-care program. 

As standard, you will also receive 24/7 emergency phone support and full surgical cover for the entire duration of your program.

Typically, we would expect a weight loss of at least 5-6 stone within the first year of our program, however, we have many patients who have lost as much as 10 stone within this time.

Our gastric sleeve program has proven to be the most effective form of long term weight loss for our patients for many years. Our programme starts with your gastric sleeve procedure being carried out  in our state of the art, fully CHKS, NTPF and ISO accredited, private hospital in Dublin by our expert bariatric surgeon.

Following the procedure, you will have lifetime after-care with our weight loss team, including unlimited appointments and 24/7 emergency phone support.

Typically, we would expect our patients to lose approximately 6-7 stone (38-44kg) within the first year. However, this will vary from patient to patient depending on how strictly they stick to the given guidelines. Many of our patients have lost as much as 11 stone (69kg) within the first year.

Here at Auralia Weight Loss Clinic we understand that the decision to undergo any form of procedure is not one which can be made easily. We also understand that most of our patients prefer to have all the available information before making a decision. For this reason, we offer all of our gastric sleeve patients free consultations. During this consultation we can discuss the procedure, the after-care programme and the patient requirements in far greater detail whilst also ensuring that the patient is an appropriate candidate for the procedure. There is no obligation to book the procedure with us during this consultation. It is more of an informal chat.

Dr. Ahmed Ramzi Salman. MB. BCh. BAO. BMedSc. was born in Iraq in 1970. Medicine runs in the family, as Dr Salmans mother is a pediatrician and his sister in an onco-plastic breast surgeon. He completed his pre-med in Texas, USA. He then moved to Ireland and did Medicine in UCD, Dublin and graduated with Honours in surgery. He completed his general surgery training in Ireland and afterwards he returned to USA to train under the renowned Dr. Michael E. DeBakey in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. It was during this time that Dr. Salman decided to branch into the area of Aesthetic plastic Surgery. He then went to Australia to receive further training in Breast Surgery and returned to Texas to complete specialist training in the John Tebbett technique for Breast surgery.

Passionate and innovatory about his work, Dr. Salman has practiced as an Aesthetic surgeon for the last eight years in Ireland. Darwin is our senior nurse involved in the gastric band adjustments. He is also our anaesthetic nurse, who specialises in anaesthesia and assists the anaesthetist in the bariatric operating theatre. He is also a key trainer in anaesthetic monitor suction ECG machines (Hammersmith Hospital UK).
