Medical Travel - Bariatric Surgery

I underwent a gastro balloon to the stomach. It was my choice and I am very satisfied. Nice staff, very nice coordinator

The procedure was fantastic, don't remember a thing due to great anaesthetic. The only negative was multiple unsuccessful attempts in inserting the cannula (I apparently have weak veins, resulting in 6 horrific bruises all over my wrists and arms). Nurses were lovely (but inexperienced with difficult veins) and very polite and helpful with reasonable English. Great consultant / surgeon.

Had my gastric sleeve surgery here 3 weeks ago. Have no regrets whatsoever, despite having a slight stall! Lost 15lbs first week. Hospital was clean. Had my own private room which was a bonus! It was a nerve wracking experience but I felt at ease soon as I was in the part the hospital I'd be staying in. Very professional and I'm ever so grateful for it being at a price that was affordable unlike in the United Kingdom. Glad I did it

As you know over a month has transpired since my surgery and I have lost a little over two stone so far. I hope the success continues, I have felt extremely well and not suffered any problems with the initial dietary requirements.

The overall experience was, to be fair, as I imagined as I had spent a long time nearly a year organising my trip, it was important to ensure my home life was covered thus allowing me to focus only on the trip, I admit I was worried, but Jana and yourself have always been there to answer any questions I had.

For the record I would recommend that patients are met by your company as this alleviates any anxieties felt. My only disappointing experience is the waiting time from arriving at the hospital 07:30 in the morning up until being seen, which was about 10ish, in a uncomfortable waiting room with no information on why the delay and what exactly you was waiting for. However, once the process of seeing the doctors and nurses began it all happened very quickly once accepted and then being on the ward taken down for surgery.

Despite the occasional language barrier which could be a problem, the nurses post-operation were extremely helpful and caring.

I had a gastric balloon fitted. The procedure was painless and well ordered, though I was waiting for some time prior. It is not without discomfort afterwards, but the clinic was excellent. Very pleased with the treatment, however, I had asked from the outset for a duo balloon and after the treatment was completed, I was told it was a single balloon as the doctor did not do the duo one. I have even checked with the receptionist immediately before the procedure to confirm it would be the duo. I do accept the written details show a single balloon but this was not what was discussed from the outset.

I was very well taken care of, nurses try their best to communicate with me in English. The clinic is very clean and modernized. Great experience!
