Shen Acupuncture and Naturopathy Clinic is based in Knocknacarra, Galway. Naturopathy is a holistic and comprehensive approach to improving health and treating illness. A Naturopath will support and stimulate the body's own ability to heal itself by using natural treatments. These treatments may include nutrition and lifestyle advice, vitamin and mineral supplementation, detoxification methods, tissue salts and flower essences. Acupuncture and Naturopathy can also be used to boost the immune system and promote general health and wellbeing. Acupuncture treatments are recognised by Quinn Healthcare, VHI Healthcare, Vivas Health and HSF Health plan.

I trained with the College of Integrative Acupuncture in Galway for three years, studying both 5 Element and 8 Principle acupuncture, and qualified in 2012. I then undertook my postgraduate training at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Centre (CBIATC) - World Health Organization Collaborating Centre of Traditional Medicine in Beijing China. I am a registered member with the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association, the oldest and largest professional body for practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ireland, which means the highest standards of care and best practice are assured. As a member of AFPA all my treatments are approved by VHI, Laya Healthcare, Aviva and HSF Health Plan. I studied Sports Massage Therapy with the Institute of Massage & Sports Therapy in 2014. Nathalie is a qualified acupuncturist who  trained in both Ireland and in China. A free initial consultation is given prior to each treatments. An average treatment lasts around one hour but allow more time for your first consultation.  Acupuncture treats a wide range of disorders ranging from musculoskeletal and neurological conditions to headaches, migraines, infertility, insomnia, health conditions caused by stress, depression and anxiety, drug addiction, digestive and respiratory disorders.
