About Michael McHugh - Oriental Clinic

This is the Acupuncture and Hypnotherapy Clinic of Michael McHugh,  At this clinic we treat arthritis, smoking, weight control, back pain, infertility, rhinitis, migraine, sciatica, fear of flying, phobias, low self esteem, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, frozen shoulder, tourettes syndrome, acne, sports injuries, muscle injuries, tendonitis stomach problems, reflux, irritable bowel syndrome and many other ailments,

We also use electro-acupuncture where we attach electrodes to the acupuncture needles this allows us to run a very light electric current from one needle to another,this can be very beneficial because it allows us to gently exercise the injured muscle and help to bring it back to its normal healthy state.

Auricular Acupuncture (1 hour)

At the McHugh Clinic we also use Auricular Acupuncture where we use Acupuncture needles on the Acupuncture points on the clients ears , these Auricular points are very affective for helping to treat injuries and imbalances on the clients body and for weight loss and addictions including smoking.

Electro-Acupuncture (1 hour)

Electro Acupuncture is a a very useful way of stimulating the clients muscles and bringing them slowly and gently back to their normal healthy state and for stimulating blood flow in an injured area of the clients body and bringing it back to a fully functioning state.

At the McHugh Clinic we also use Acupuncture to help people who are having trouble trying to conceive, the Acupuncture needles help the clients endocrine system to increase its production of the various hormones and chemicals that are essential for  a healthy reproduction system.

Smoking Cessation Consultation (1 hour 30 mins)

Our Smoking cessation programme consists of one Hypnosis stop smoking session of 90 minutes which costs 120 Euro, if the client requires a second session it would cost 50 Euro, but usually one session is enough. Hypnosis is a very powerfull tool because it allows the Therapist to get past the clients conscious mind so that he can put positive suggestions and messages into the clients subconscious mind where they will have a much greater chance of being accepted by the client A Hypnosis stop smoking CD is included in the price





Yes, Hypnosis is a very effective therapy to help someone give up the smoking habit because Hypnosis enables the therapist to get past the clients conscious mind, the conscious mind does not  like change but likes routine and it will do everything that it can to keep things as they are, but when the client is in the relaxed state of Hypnosis the clients conscious mind is inactive and takes a back seat this means that the Therapist can put ideas and suggestions freely into the clients mind without any interference these ideas and suggestions will then be accepted by the client and will change the thoughts, actions and behaviours of the client and most importantly it will change the clients attitude to smoking, allowing him or her to leave behind the smoking habit and move on into their future as  happier healthier non smokers
