The Albert Place Practice clinic, specialising in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, was opened in London in the late 1980s by Clair Beardson. The practice proved highly successful and in 1999 a second practice was opened in Hong Kong. Albert Place has a number of certified who, together, bring a wide range of experience. They specialise in many areas, including chronic pain, chronic fatigue, skin problems, diabetes, infertility, hypertension, body recovery after chemotherapy or radiotherapy, , food therapy and weight management. The practice also has a highly trained nutritionist, Raymond Chung, to provide food advice based on Western and Chinese Medicine Nutrition and Toxicological Nutrition. The philosophy is to educate and empower all the patients who come to the Practice and to assist them with their health and healing. Her expertise also includes using Chinese medicines to treat cardiovascular diseases, rheumatism, cough, gastrointestinal and digestive diseases as well as gynecological diseases. CHAN is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor Degree in Chinese Medicine and a Master Degree in Chinese Medicine in Acupuncture & Moxibustion. She is a holder of the Practising Certificate for Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner issued by the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong. Having served in a public tripartite Chinese medicine centre for years, she has extensive practising experience in treating various diseases and illnesses. During her service in the public sector, she completed a full year specialist training programme in cardiovasology and rheumatology in Beijing.
