I am extremely happy with the careElaine, Ireland, 23 12 23

I have been a patient of Dr. Mo for many years, he has always listened to me and has made sure I get the best medical. Over the past few years, I finally decided to also look into the cosmetic treatments and well I have been so lucky that when I discussed this with Dr. Mo knowing he has been doing these treatments for years he made sure I get what I was asking for and is right for me and as subtle as possible. I am extremely happy with the care that Dr. Mo and Ellwood Clinic have provided me with over the years perhaps leaving this little review is the least I could do in return.

As a therapist I am guided by the needs and requirements of the person seeking help. I believe that the strength of therapy lies not in technique alone, but in the connection made between the person seeking help and the therapist who is capable of offering it. My counselling background includes working with those who have experienced trauma, and those suffering from anxiety or feelings of low mood.  I have also worked with adolescents as a Schools Counsellor, and am currently working with Pieta House supporting people who are in suicidal distress or engaging in self harm. My approach to counselling and therapy is Person Centred, respecting and encouraging the clients’ autonomy within the therapeutic process at all times. I will provide a confidential one to one relationship in a safe setting to develop the client’s self-awareness, assisting them in finding their own way through their difficulties. I welcome those seeking help, working with teenagers, adults, couples and families. I have experience with a broad range of personal concerns including; depression, suicidal thoughts and self harm, anxiety and panic attacks, stress, relationship difficulties, sexual, physical and emotional abuse and personal development. My qualifications include: BA (Hons);  Dip Counselling/Psychotherapy;  Higher Dip in Conflict Resolution and Mediation;  Cert. Family Therapy, Cert CBT. I look forward to welcoming new clients to my established practice

It’s a big decision to come to counselling or psychotherapy . For some it is something they have beenconsidering for some time, while for others it’s an immediate decision inresponse to something that has come up suddenly in their life. Either way it canbe a stressful and anxious time. Knowing what to expect can make it alittle easier. Our first meeting will be an exploratory session. Thiswill allow you  to see what counselling is about and decide if it will bebeneficial for you to continue.  I will take some personal details anddiscuss confidentiality in the counselling relationship. We will move on tolook at your life and examine what has brought you to counselling at thistime.  We will also look at what you want to achieve from therapy. At the end of this session it is your decision whetherto proceed further. If  you decide yes  I would normally contract for 4 - 6 sessions after which we would review where we are. If I think your needs will be best met elsewhere Iwill offer a referral.  Therapy may involve either short term counselling orlonger term psychotherapy. This decision rests with you and what you want toachieve from the counselling process.  While I am qualified in the use of psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioral approaches I mainly work humanistically, using elements of the other models where appropriate.

Sometimes in life we can experience periods of inner conflict and confusion.  This may be due to traumatic past experiences or changes we may face in our lives presently. My practice offers a safe and confidential space in which to explore your issues with an experienced therapist. Counselling and Psychotherapy can help make sense of feelings, thoughts and behaviors which can cause inner conflict and confusion. This in turn can lead to a lesser quality of life. Making sense of these issue can help develop a greater sense of self awareness. I help bring about change by taking unconscious drives into a conscious space in which we can work together to implement meaningful change in your life. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist working from a Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytical framework. I also incorporate elements of Gestalt and Existential Psychotherapy in my work with clients.  I am a Pre-Accredited Member of the IACP ( Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy ) and I am an Associate Member of the IPAA ( Irish Psycho-Analytical Association ).
