Mr Brian McQuaid

Job Title:
  Physiotherapist
Biography:
Since qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2007 Brian has obtained a wealth of experience across a variety of NHS departments within several hospitals and primary care trusts. He has also worked in private practice both in London and the South West and in sport as Hendon Rugby Club’s lead physiotherapist.
Brian originally hails from Northern Ireland and moved to England in 1994. Following a BSc(Hons) in Sports Science he began working in activities for people with learning and physical disabilities eventually becoming an Activity Services’ Manager. Finding he was focusing more on paperwork than people he felt it was time for a new challenge and returned to university to study Physiotherapy.
Brian is continually updating, adding to and consolidating his physiotherapy knowledge and practice, regularly attending post graduate training courses such as Swedish massage, sports massage, acupuncture and spinal manipulation. In 2008 Brian became an accredited acupuncturist in physiotherapy.
The main focus of his work and training has been in rehabilitation focusing on manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription in the treatment of neck pain and back pain as well as upper limb (shoulders, elbows, wrist and hands) and lower limb (hips, knees, ankles and feet) dysfunction.
