Dr. Ron Lichtenstein is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He received his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the New York Medical College, and moved to Fresno in July 1995, where he has been providing high quality, compassionate care since then. His approach to medicine is based on his belief that the delivery of health care is a partnership between patient and physician. The patient is the only one who has the right to make the decisions about her care, and the physician must use his knowledge and experience to help her achieve her goals. Currently Dr. Lichtenstein is a Professor of Medicine at UCSF (Fresno division), and a member of various committees at Community Medical Centers. He combines his medical practice with his love of teaching. He is a member of the Central California Women’s Health group, and had been a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) since 1993. He is Board Certified in both obstetrics and gynecology. From 1976 to 1982 Dr. Lichtenstein proudly served in the military (IDF). During the last three years of his service he was a combat medic, and in 1982 war he was deployed in action. It was then that he decided to commit his future to the service of patients. That commitment, amalgamated in the battlefield over thirty years ago,continues to shape his current practice. He gladly accepts private insurance plans; but he is just as happy to see MediCal patients, and patient who have no insurance at all. Regardless of payment source, every patient receives the best and most respectful care. Prior to medical school, Dr. Lichtenstein attended the UCLA biology program, studying dolphin communication. Sadly, Marineland of the Pacific was closed before he finished his research, so he received his Master and C.Phil. degrees in Herpetology. His research was in the rather esoteric area of mathematical modeling of foraging modes.

Dr. Diana Nguyen completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco (Fresno Division) and received her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. She studied Biology at UCSD and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology and Minor in Psychology. She grew up in Southern California but after spending the last four years in Fresno, where she now considers home. During the four years of her residency, she distinguished herself with her compassion, easy going demeanor, superb surgical skills, meticulous attention to detail and outstanding diagnostic intuition. She is a tremendous addition to the California Pregnancy Center, and will elevate the level of care to an even higher ground. Fresno is finally on par with San Francisco and Los Angeles when it gets to women health care. Dr. Nguyen distinguished herself dedicated to providing the best and most up to date care for her patients. Her love is Obstetrics, from showing a patient their baby for the first time with an ultrasound to being at the delivery and placing the new bundle of joy on Mom. She understands that sometimes what was a nice normal pregnancy turns into a high risk one, and is able to manage the patient and provide continued care. She is also passionate about Gynecology, providing various methods for family planning and surgical options, including minimally invasive hysterectomies.
