What are Mini Implants?

Mini implants are small screws measuring 1.8 to 3mm that can be placed in one day for patients. They also act as a tooth root and can retain crowns and bridges. Placing a mini implant is a minimally invasive procedure. The patient’s existing denture is placed on the implants or a new denture is fabricated.  Mini implants do not need as much bone structure as regular implants.
