I've been coming to this clinic for 20 years the staff and everyone is so friendly and professional. its a very reasonable price. i have 13 implants now and had no problem with them at all. I had a bit of gum recession so came back on June 2nd 2024 which they have sorted for me thank god. I would recommend this dentist to all. I wish they would open a clinic in the UK so that I could go to the UK for check-ups as this would mean not having to travel to Altinkum at the drop of a hat. But I will keep coming here as no alternative because they are brilliant dentists. Ahmets the best dentist in my eyes, Mustafa who speaks brilliant English, Ugur Dogan the owner and all the other staff thank you so much.

Root End Surgery  
Although there are many surgical procedures that can be performed to save a tooth, apicoectomy or root-end resection is most commonly performed. Following examination of the patient's mouth, assessment of radiographs (x-rays), a discussion of the options available to the patient, and informed consent, apicoectomy the following steps: Local anaesthetic is administered. The site is checked for profound anaesthesia prior to starting the procedure. The gum tissue is then raised near the tooth to view the underlying bone, the area of inflammation is identified. The inflamed tissue is then removed. A sample may be collected for biopsy, often, the tip of the root of the tooth is removed and a small retrofilling is placed. This is done to seal the tooth at the tip and to contain the infection, small sutures ("stitches") are placed and the patient is given instructions and prescriptions, generally, patients are seen twice more in the office. There is a short follow up appointment one week after the procedure to remove the sutures and to assess the soft tissue healing. A second appointment is generally six months or one year later. Radiographs are taken to assess bony healing.

The root canals travel from the tip of the tooth's root into the pulp chamber, which also contains blood vessels and connective tissue that nourish the tooth. A tooth's nerve is not vitally important to a tooth's health and function after the tooth has emerged through the gums. Its only function is sensory ? to provide the sensation of hot or cold. The presence or absence of a nerve will not affect the day-to-day functioning of the tooth.
