I really do mean she is worth investing inEmily, Ireland, 17 11 20

Olivia is the best-skilled practitioner I have come across for counselling over the years. I came to her when I had a crisis in my life but I also had other issues that needed attention and help. Olivia was boundaries and calm and was very empathetic and understanding. I really cannot recommend her enough and I always felt so relieved and revitalised when leaving a session. I really do mean she is worth investing in.

Anne-Louise Foley Counselling at The Healing House - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Anne-Louise Foley Counselling at The Healing House

The Healing House, 24 O'Connell Avenue, Berkeley Road, Dublin 7
I'm currently offering both face to face* and also online counselling. If you're feeling stuck in your life, or anxious, stressed, or depressed, counselling can help. I believe that you have the resources within yourself to find answers and resolve your difficulties, but may need a bit of help on this journey.  I work in an integrative way, meaning that I will use elements from different areas of psychotherapy in order to help you develop a stronger and healthier sense of yourself. It is helpful to gain some insight into the cause of the problem, and then work together with you on finding ways forward.  I hold a BA (hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from ICHAS (the Irish College of Humanities & Applied Sciences) and am an accredited member of the APCP and also a registered member of the BACP. I have experience and knowledge in trauma and have trained in EMDR and am currently training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-focused treatment for trauma.  Most recently I have trained in couples co)unselling and am now seeing couples. Please contact me for further information if this is a service you require. *I see clients primarily at the Healing House in Phibsboro but am also based at Willow Tree Clontarf (on Friday mornings)

Connecting Mindfully (counselling & psychotherapy) - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland
5.0 from 1 verified review
When something in your life is not how you'd like it to be, or when you're looking for help and support for something that you're going through; perhaps a life event, a particular concern or maybe problems with relationships, at home, in school or at work. Maybe you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, frustration, fear, sadness or other emotions.  Stress can be a part of this.  Counselling can help you to better understand what might be going on for you, and to find ways to effectively manage feelings, thoughts or worries.  My experience is that clients come to counselling because they want something in their life to be different. I appreciate that it's often not easy to come to counselling. I welcome clients with warmth and openness, and a non-judgemental listening ear. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I use ACT, CBT and Choice Theory to help clients work through an issue or to help them shine a new light on an area of their life that is not currently how they would like it to be. Sometimes what we need is to be listened to and heard.  Coming to see a therapist is a brave step towards getting support.  Allowing yourself to talk about and express what you are experiencing might be what you need at this time.  We often don't 'press pause' in our lives, we often don't give ourselves the time or space to check in with ourselves. Stress Management
Dealing with stress has almost become a regular feature of our everyday lives. Being able to talk about aspects of your life which are becoming increasingly difficult to mange may help you to focus on alternative ways of managing your life in a more positive way. Together we look at effective ways to improve your outlook, to manage expectations differently and to find a better way of coping so you begin to feel less stress in your life.
Drug Addiction Treatment
Following a programme of rehab for drug or alcohol misuse many people find that they would like further support to explore issues which have come up during treatment. I offer one-to-one support for someone who has been through a treatment programme and is committed to positive change in their life.
