The Amazing Dr Ahmad & His Team Just a quick review to say how happy I am with my recent hair transplant by the very talented Dr Ahmad Moussa and his equally talented team of technicians. As someone who was completely bald on top, I was a little apprehensive as to how much could be done. I had previously been told by other surgeons that a full transplant wouldn’t be possible, yet Dr Ahmad and his team performed a minor miracle and managed to acquire enough hair follicles to cover the entire bald area of my head. It’s also worth mentioning that the entire procedure was carried out in a very friendly, yet professional atmosphere. Dr Ahmads approach to the procedure was very calm and patient throughout and I felt completely at ease while he and colleagues worked their magic on the top of my head. I can honestly say that the day of the procedure was one of the best days of my life. The FUE Hair Transplant ProcedureFUE or Follicular Unit Extraction involves removing healthy hair follicles directly from a donor area on the scalp (usually at the back of the head where the hair is plentiful) and grafting them onto the bald or thinning areas. The method uses a specialised punch device, ranging in diameter from 0.6mm – 0.9mm, to extract follicular units complete with necessary glands. This separates surrounding tissue from the unit, meaning minimum trauma and better results, as well as minimal risk of any detectable scarring. Transplantation of all the vital elements of each hair follicle means a better survival rate and better growth. The treatment is performed under a high-powered microscope using specially designed instruments, allowing the surgeon to work with the utmost precision for natural-looking, undetectable results.
